Hello and a warm welcome to Northumbrian Life, a personal website about the English county of Northumberland with photographs from around the region.

One of Ashington's most famous pubs - The White Elephant. Situated at the bottom of Milburn Road near St Johns Church.

Initially most of the photographs you'll see will be from Ashington but over the coming months more will be added from such places as Newbiggin, Blyth, Morpeth, Warkworth and Alnwick as well as a number taken of local landmarks from along the North East coast.

Northumbria is a wild and rugged county blessed with a landscape of natural untamed beauty on which over the centuries a rich and complex history was born.
